Thames Run (Greater London)

Thames Run (Greater London)

A pilot durational running project in partnership with APT Gallery and Totally Thames 2019

A live run/ artwork across the breadth of Greater London from West to East over three days, from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th September, following the course of the river Thames. The work was viewable live online through the uses of live-tracking, image streaming and social media. Coinciding with the Open Studios at APT Studios Deptford, the artist's studio acted as a physical hub, where maps and other emphemera were also on display.

A talk took place on Friday 27th September, 2019 at APT Gallery, Deptford, London, as part of the 'Conversations with Art' series. This was chaired by Professor Vybarr Cregan-Reid (Author of 'Footnotes: how running makes us human') and included artist runners Carali McCall and Julian Sharples. The project also featured on Resonance 104.4 FM 'Living with London' on Monday 23rd September 5-6pm.
